Babywearing is Exercise
When you babywear, you're not only keeping your baby close and happy, you're also burning a lot of extra calories. Babywearing is the practice of wearing your baby in a carrier to keep the baby close, safe, happy and secure. When you're carrying your baby, you're carrying an extra 10, 20 or 30 pounds around with you (but you are doing it ergonomically with the proper carrier). This is like exercising with a set of ankle weights on. You'll burn more calories with every step you take because you're doing it with extra weight!
